Note: Additional sets are required for more than 4 samples. Germ and Bacteria Analysis Most bacteria grow as red colonies on TTC agar – occasionally fungi and yeasts also grow. Colorless colonies are also included in the analysis. The decisive factor is the colony-forming units (CFU), not their size. If the bacterial count is high, the coating may appear uniformly colored or colorless if there is a high level of growth. Comparison with a fresh medium helps avoid misinterpretations.
