The environment and the sustainable use of resources are very, very important to us. Here you can find out what we have in common with nature.

Batteries
Batteries contain many valuable raw materials that can be recycled. Used batteries and rechargeable batteries do not belong in the garbage bin, but should be recycled. Due to the Battery Act (BattG), you as the end user are even obliged to return all used batteries and rechargeable batteries; disposal in household waste is not permitted. Batteries and rechargeable batteries containing pollutants are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out garbage can and the chemical symbol (Cd = cadmium; Hg = mercury; Pb = lead) of the heavy metal that is decisive for the classification.
Pb = battery contains more than 0.004 percent lead
Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 percent cadmium
Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 percent mercury
Used batteries and rechargeable batteries can be returned free of charge to our service department, the service center or other battery sales outlets and to public waste disposal authorities (örE), provided that they were also purchased from us. We have also set up a collection box for used batteries on the company premises so that they can be collected and recycled.
Packaging
Coolenvi ensures that all packaging is easy to recycle. We prefer to use packaging material made of paper and cardboard as well as air cushions made of recycled plastic. All packaging is part of a dual system in accordance with the provisions of the Packaging Act (VerpackG), i.e. licensed, and can therefore be recycled free of charge via the local recycling collection (paper bin, yellow bin/yellow bag, etc.). Special return points are available for all customers. You can leave the bulky packaging of your new goods right there and do not have to order a container for disposal. By the way: The waste generated at Coolenvi is separated directly on site and then recycled by a certified waste disposal company. Consistent separation enables higher recycling rates to be achieved.
Electronics
What to do with old devices? The Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) contains a large number of requirements for handling electrical and electronic devices. The most important ones are summarized here in a short and understandable way. Separate collection of old devices Electrical and electronic devices that have become waste are referred to as old devices. Owners of old devices must have them collected separately from unsorted municipal waste using special collection and return systems, especially in the case of air conditioning systems, namely with us.\n\nDisposal in household waste is not permitted and we are also obliged to document this.
Which devices are taken back?
On the one hand, devices that are similar in type and function to the new device purchased from Coolenvi are taken back. So if you buy a new air conditioning unit, you can return an old air conditioning unit in return. You get rid of the old stuff and at the same time do something for the environment, which we cannot do for free by separating oil, coolant and metals and transporting them to the recycling center is expensive!
Options for returning old devices Ecodesign?
Never heard of ecodesign? Yes, you definitely have, because it also includes the so-called "light bulb ban". Those affected areHowever, this does not only apply to the consumer's beloved light bulbs, but also to devices, circuit boards and remote controls. Even plug-in power supplies must now meet certain energy efficiency criteria in terms of power consumption when idle or the ratio between power consumed and power delivered. Many electronic devices must also have an energy management system. Environmental awareness, mindfulness and sustainability are more important today than ever. This is what our quality management is concerned with.
